Anubis/Pixie Paradise Thursday EOTD

Todays EOTD is a purple one using various brands of pigment. I have come to love purple shades lately, and that goes for both eye shadows and nail polishes ;)

Shade descriptions:

Anubis - Deep purple hue with noticeable red violet and golden undertones
Pixie Paradise - Sheer shimmering lilac with subtle traces of turquoise and lime
Grape - Deep purple shone with small pearl particle
Ice - Icy white shimmer

Eyes:
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Cory Cosmetics Anubis - all over eyelid up to brow bone
The She Space Pixie Paradise - inner part of lid, blended over crease and close to tear duct
MAC Grape Pigment - outer V, crease and lower lash line
Ben Nye Ice Pigment - on brow bone
Maybelline Colossal Mascara in black

Face:
Earthen Glow Minerals Cover Me Foundation in Namina
Earthen Glow Minerals Finishing Powder in Lightly Tinted

Cheeks:
Cory blush in Mockery

Lips:
NYX Lip Liner in Candlelight
Nouba Lipgloss #9

I could have done much better with the blending today, so I'm not entirely happy with this look.

Today I also put in an extension in my hair; just to jazz it up a little... So simple, and only takes a minute - which is a great thing ;) Just a few pins to fasten it around your own hair, and you're ready to go! Here are a few pics...

Thanks for visiting; bye for now :)

Love the hair!! All you need is a tiara set atop and you would be good to go dear! Loving it :)

Love the purple! I have a similar shade to that sitting in the bottom of my makeup case - I must fish it out!

That is too cool with the hair extension! I would never have known! It blends in with your own hair. Now I like that! I'm so with you. When it comes to purple eye make up and polish these days. Of course I think your eye make up is beautiful...as always! I really do!

Hi Brooke!
Thank you so much sweetie! I actually have a tiara around here somewhere... :)

Hi Nixxy!
Thank you! Go fish it out of that case ;)

Hi Velvet!
Thanks; I find it's a quick and easy way to jazz up the ordinary ponytail... ;)
Thank you for the compliment on the eye shadow!
Love your new avatar pic, by the way ;)

I just thought of a funny hair extension story.

We used to have this old salesman here at work (he was in his 70's), really a fun, fun man. You could joke around with him he was just such a good sport. My co-worker used to wear hair extensions like that, and one day Johnny said he really liked her pony tail that day so she pulled it off and handed it to him - lol! You should have seen the look on his face, it was priceless - I miss that old man :)

Looking beautiful and glamourous. I love that shade of purple. I have very dark circle under my eyes. I try to cover them up but when I wear purple my eyes look bruised underneath. I wear it anyway beause it's my second favorite eyeshadow. Olive green is my favorite. Also love the hairpiece. I have one like that and then a longer curlier one. Also a long straight ponytail. They are so easy to clamp on and go. The pieces make you look elegant.

I am a huge fan of hairpieces - that one looks fantastic on you.

I have a super-long straight one that I love but it is a pain if it gets windy or wet. Too high maintenance to wear too often but I love it if Im going out and want to glam it up a bit!
