My Latest Polish Haul & NOTD

Hi you!
Thank God it's Friday :)

I got these OPIs from an eBay seller recently. I ordered two OPI colors from the Greek Collection; Dancing in the Isles and It's All Greek to Me, plus My Daddy's the King from the OPI Princess Charming Collection and Los Cabos Coral which is a regular. I also bought CND Solar Oil.

L-R: My Daddy's the King, Dancing in the Isles, Los Cabos Coral, It's all Greek to Me

Creative Nail Design (CND) SolarOil...
Conditioning oil for nails and cuticles.
Ingredients list for those interested: Sweet Almond Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Rice Bran Oil, Fragrance, Tocopheryl (vitamin E) Acetate

My Daddy's the King is from the OPI Princess Charming Collection, consisting of soft shades. I thought it would be nice to have a few softies in my growing stash to wear on those days when I don't feel like or isn't suitable to wear bold and bright colors... I'm not at all fond of sheers; so it's a good thing this one is completely opaque with three coats, which is what I'm wearing here.
This is a soft, pearly peach shade. It applies very smoothly, and dries quickly to a high gloss finish.

Indirect sunlight...

After wearing this for a few hours, I thought it looked a little "meh", sort of...boring... (I'm getting noticeably used to wearing bolds and brights ;)) so I decided to jazz it up a bit! I applied two coats of Viva la Diva #47; a silvery sheer glitter top coat, and it turned out like this...

Direct sun...
Sort of a peachy version of Princesses Rule, no..?

Shade...

Do you own any OPI soft shades? Which ones do you like? Or don't you like softies at all?

Any special plans for the weekend?
As for me; we'll be spring cleaning the garden most of the weekend; it's supposed to be sunny and quite warm, about 10-15 degrees (which equals about 50-60 Fahrenheit).

I do wish all of you a great weekend; thank you for being the sweetest readers! :)

xoxo

I just bought a few of the princess collection myself. For the same resons. I'm not really into soft colors. Although,I'm learning to appreciate them. I like how you "jazzed" up My Daddy's the King.

Not too into the soft colors. I used to be when I started my collection, so I have some old ones if I really need them. Love the name though: My Daddy's the King!
This weekend we are house-hunting, not looking to great where I live (Chicago area), but we'll be inside most of the time. Oh! We're going to see jo koy tonight (funny comedian) so that should be fun.
Have a good one!

I own the little mini OPI holiday collection 2008 that has Sheer Your Toys, etc. I also own Russian Navy.
I'd like to get Kinky in Helinski.

I get to clean my computer room this weekend. Bleh! Husband keeps trashing it. I'm throwing a ton of stuff out.

Ya know...the same thing happens to me. In theory, I love the soft shades. In fact, I always seem to be drawn to them. Then I paint my nails - usually even like the shade at first. But after a few hours, I look down and think "blah." One of my all-time favorites is OPI's Chocolate Moose. It is a mauvey-brown color...while it is a bit softer, it is a deep color. You should check it out.

On another note, I noticed you posted a picture of CND's Solar Oil. This is probably my FAVORITE nail find of all time. I brush it on after I've finished painting my nails. The oil keeps nicks and dings away while it's drying. Also, it works WONDERS for your cuticles, nail beds, and skin underneath your nails. I try to remember to use it daily. It has made a HUGE difference in the health of my nails.

Hi Velvet!
Which ones did you get?

Hi Nessa!
Oh; house hunting, that sounds exciting!!

Hi Phyrra!
Funny; I'm lemming Kinky in Helsinki too ;) Good thing it'll b re-released soon!
It's a great feeling after you're done with throwing out stuff, isn't it?

Hi Nelsby!
That's exactly the feeling: love 'em in THEORY.. ;) I'll definitely check out this Chocolate Moose color, thanks for the tip! And glad to hear about the Solar Oil; I really need something that deeply conditions and restores my dry cuticles...

Hi Brooke!
Yes, I do... :D

I'll be watching some movies this weekend. I love flowers but hate putting my hands in dirt. My Mom loved to garden and was terrific at it. I grew up with beautiful gardens. I would cut flowers or water them but no digging! I used to tell her I must've been buried alive in another life. My Aunt (her sister), also didn't like putting her hands in dirt. So I say I inherited it. I'm not really to crazy for the softies but I do wear them from time to time. I do like how you glittered them up.
